How fucking great is this new poster for Lynne Ramsay’s “We Need to Talk About Kevin”?

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN // Official UK Trailer
As a huge fan of Lynne Ramsay’s work, this film has been on my must see list since it was first announced. Seeing a full trailer cut together makes me feel like it’s going to be just the kind of chilling film that I’ve come to expect from her. Very excited for this one
REASON #213 (WHY I WISH I WAS AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL):
“We Need to Talk About Kevin” by one of my favorite directors, Lynne Ramsey, is getting glowing reviews from some of my favorite film sites. I’ve loved every challenging step of her career thus far and this film seems to be no exception. Seriously, if you’re a fan of challenging, haunting films, you should see her two previous features, “Ratcatcher” and “Morvern Callar”. Also, the novel for “We Need to Talk About Kevin” was an incredible, heartbreaking work and I’m so excited to see it come to life in the hands of an extremely talented filmmaker.
Oh and for those unsure of what the film is about, here’s a snapshot from The Playlist:
At first blush, Ramsay’s film would appear to be a look into the genesis and reasons behind the title teen’s killing spree; the film we get is something different entirely, an exploration of loss and pain and grief through the eyes of the mother (Tilda Swinton) left shattered and battered in the wake of her son’s irrational, irredeemable actions.
