“Green” by The Black Tambourines // Chica EP (2011)

Let’s get the name discrepancy right out of the way up front. This is not the wonderful and influential twee/dream pop band from Maryland that formed in the 90’s. That’s Black Tambourine. This is a UK jangle pop act from Cornwall who are also quite good, but more on the jangle pop, surf pop, shoegaze side of things. They are called The Black Tambourines. Truth be told, I could very easily see the confusion as both bands tread similar water, but my thoughts on the name similarity is irrelevant. The Black Tambourines traffic in a highly addictive type of fuzzy, jangle pop that gets your brains humming. “Green” is a perfect example of such.
