“Remember Our Days” by Lotus Plaza // Lotus Plaza/Odonis Odonis Split 12” (2012)

The new material from Lotus Plaza has been keeping my head nodding in enjoyment for the past couple of weeks. Sure, it’s only two new tracks, but they’re both exceptionally good. This one in particular is my favorite. It’s a shimmering, psych pop lullaby that feels like the end of summer wrapped up in a four and half minute gem. Definitely worth multiple listens.

“Out of Touch” by Lotus Plaza // from the forthcoming Lotus Plaza / Odonis Odonis 12”

Lockett Pundt (Deerhunter) is back with another track from his Lotus Plaza pseudonym and it’s a shimmering, echoing, reverbed beauty. It’s part of a forthcoming split with Toronto band, Odonis Odonis. Check it out. It’s a pretty fantastic track (the Deerhunter boys are some of the most reliably great musicians in music these days). Highly recommended.

“Nosebleed” by Deerhunter // from the “Memory Boy” single

Who doesn’t like some Deerhunter b-sides? Here’s a great one from the “Memory Boy” single that’s a jangly, ragged, stomper of a jam. Fucking excellent stuff for sure. The Halcyon Digest sessions churned out such amazing music, I really hope others keep trinkling out till we get a new album (which knowing Bradford Cox’s output, should be any day now).
