“Blister of the Spotlight” by Ashtar Command (Feat. Rachael Yamagata) // American Sunshine (2011)

I’ve been really digging this track from Ashtar Command and Rachael Yamagata. I’m pretty sure that I’m vibing it this hard because it reminds me of the kind of music that Grandaddy and Mercury Rev were making in the late 90’s, early 00’s. It’s got a sweet, spaced out, psych pop sound, and it’s got enough of a hook to keep it crammed in your brain hole for days on end. The album was released last week, so check it out if you like this track. There’s plenty of more interesting sounds on the full length.
