“Still” by Bombay Bicycle Club // A Different Kind of Fix (2011)
It’s not the upbeat, ear candy of the first single, “Shuffle”, but the track “Still” has a haunting, melancholic, slow burn that I can’t seem to shake. It’s the track that I keep coming back to after hearing the rest of the new Bombay Bicycle Club album (streaming now on Spotify). The album is full of lovely, low key moments like this one, but this track is the one that I know will be sticking with me long after I’ve moved on to newer album releases and discoveries. It’s a gorgeous track. Plain and simple.
