Music based arrogance makes me want to punch faces. I don’t give a fuck how many times you saw who, where, and when - just say you like it. I don’t need proof of your band allegiance because it doesn’t fucking amount to anything. All that matters is that you feel something. Music is not a fucking badge of cool that gets you points with anyone worth a fuck. If your only criteria for being my friend is that I’ve seen Radiohead 30 times, then go fuck yourself. I’d rather talk to someone who genuinely feels something for (what i might feel is) bad music than someone who discriminates against others because they feel above them because they’re participating in some fucking chase to find the coolest, most unknown artist ever. Just be a good person. Accept that everyone might not love your every song choice, there’s more to human connection than the soundtrack that fills your brain. Plus, i’ve got better taste than you, so fuck off.
