"I Wish You Were Dead" by Bored Nothing // Bored Nothing (Out Now via Spunk)
Bored Nothing is the pseudonym for Australian based artist, Fergus Miller, who creates dreamy, lo-fi bedroom pop. Bored Nothing has had some tracks make the blog rounds in recent months, but as of this past week, he finally has a charming new full length available to help spread awareness of his songwriting talents (previous releases are still available on his Bandcamp page). Think a more stripped back Wild Nothing, or a more lo-fi and melancholic Real Estate and you’re just about there. It’s the perfect kind of music for this time of year, as we drift through shorter days and longer nights of chilled air and layered clothing, a perfect accompaniment for such things is a dreamy autumnal sound, and Bored Nothing has plenty of that on his new self titled full length. The mood might be somber at times, but the warmth of the compositions and the inviting melodies will do the trick on a long, chilled evening. Highly recommended.
