It’s all pretty piano and quiet distance, but it further proves what talented song composers Arcade Fire really are. The quiet beauty of this piano only version is in stark contrast to the driving power of the original track, but they both work extremely well. Maxence Cyrin has done a bunch of great piano only covers of indie rock tracks, but this one is my favorite. It feels like those lonely winters in the city that for whatever reason, i still hold onto as important memories.
