The War on Drugs are releasing a new single from their excellent album, Slave Ambient, and the b-side to said single is this new, dark burner “Don’t Fear the Ghost”. It’s a hell of a song that’s as good as anything on their LP, so it’s good to see that even the The War on Drugs’ cast offs are well constructed guitar gems. “Don’t Fear the Ghost” is a dark, driving, atmospheric jam that finds it’s stride early and never really lets up. It’s like a soundtrack to a chase through windswept desert town in the middle of the night. Absolutely check this jam out. Highly recommended for fans of Kurt Vile, Dirty Beaches, and Deerhunter.
